Frances Robinson Howell, 91, passed away peacefully Monday evening, Sept. 18, 2017, at Brookdale Senior Living.

Frances was born in Miami, Fla., Oct. 28, 1925, to the late Jefferson and Sara Compton Robinson.

She was married for 62 years to the love of her life, the late O.J. Howell Jr., who preceded her in death Sept. 17, 2007.

Frances enjoyed the opportunities given to her by helping to impact the lives of so many students as a school teacher with Wayne County Public Schools for many years.

Her life was filled with humility, kindness and a love for others that she displayed every time she smiled. Frances dedicated her life to serving her family unselfishly and to serving her Lord.

She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.

She was always willing to give an encouraging word or helping hand.

Frances enjoyed life, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a service to celebrate Frances' life at 11 a.m. in the chapel, with the Rev. Phyllis Vail and the Rev. Liz Hounshell officiating. Interment will be in Wayne Memorial Park.

Frances is survived by her son, Christopher Robinson Howell and wife, Paula; daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Howell; four grandsons, Christian Jarman Howell, Eric Christopher Howell and wife, Stephanie, Justin Jarman Howell and wife, Sarah, and Trace Robinson Howell; one granddaughter, Lauren Marie Moity and husband, Sebastien; great-grandchildren, Christian Jarman Howell II, Cameron Scott Howell, Jackson Oscar Howell, Frances Ryann Howell, Hayden Jarman Howell, Paisley Ann Howell, Sebastien Stone Moity and Scarlett Ann Moity; and many wonderful nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Jarman Howell.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to a charity of one's choice.
