Isom Woodrow Tucker Jr., 69, Goldsboro, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by his family.
Isom was born in Wayne County, N.C., Feb. 29, 1948, to the late Marceline Stevens Tucker. He was married to the late Janice Best.
Isom had worked as a truck driver with Goldsboro Iron and Metal.
A graveside service was held Saturday, July 8, 2017, at 3 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park, with the Rev. Richard Toler officiating.
Isom is survived by his daughter, Christy Vinson and husband, Brian, of Goldsboro; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Everette and Rosie Best of Grantham; nieces, Denise Best Lupton and husband, Doyle, of Kenly and Linda Best Hedspeth and husband, Bill, of the Outer Banks; great-nephew, Michael Saunders of Grantham; and numerous cousins on the Stevens side of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534, or Love Memorial Baptist Church, 192 Woodland Church Road, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
