Elva Harper was born in Pikeville, Wayne County, to Adrian Harper and Beatrice Aycock Harper.
She grew up in Nahunta with three brothers, Fred, Afton and David.
In 1961, she married Robert V. Parker, and began her own family.
Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1443 Aversboro Road, Garner, 4 p.m. Saturday, May 20.
Visitation from 3 to 4 p.m.
Burial at Oakwood Cemetery, Raleigh, Monday, May 22, 10 a.m.
