Samuel Hubbard Mills, 63, Goldsboro, passed away suddenly Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at his home.
Sam was born in Atlanta, Ga., Sept. 29, 1953, to the late Harold and Alice Means Mills.
He had retired as a supervisor with the DART-Cherry Rehabilitation Program for the state of North Carolina.
Sam was a member of St. Francis Episcopal Church.
A service to celebrate Sam's life will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at St. Francis Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Marcia O. McRae officiating. Military honors will follow the service in the garden at St. Francis.
Following the rendering of military honors, the family will receive friends in the parish hall.
Sam is survived by his wife, Shelley Allen Mills; daughter, Jessica Ostiguy and husband, Michael, of Goldsboro; sister, Kathy Bliven and husband, Larry, of Salisbury, Md.; brothers, Robert Mills and wife, Pat, of Decatur, Ga., and Richard Mills and wife, Anita, of Pageland, S.C.; and grandchildren, Keaton Pouttu, Grady Beardsley and Isabelle Ostiguy.
