BOBBY L. CLIFTON

Bobby Leon Clifton, 80, of 8 Glenwood Trail, died at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville on Friday, Dec. 23, 2016.
Graveside service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Wilmington National Cemetery in Wilmington with the Rev. Gary Bailey officiating. Visitation will be held at Seymour Funeral Home in Goldsboro on Monday evening, Dec. 26 from 6 to 8 p.m., and other times at his home.
Born in 1936 in Sampson County, Bobby was the son of the late Leon Best and Louretha Hobbs Clifton. He was a retired veteran with the United States Air Force with 20 years of service. He also retired from the Department of Defense with the Civil Service at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Commissary with 20 years of service. He was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church of Goldsboro.
He is survived by a daughter, Tammy Clifton of Los Angeles, Calif.; five sons: Michael Clifton of Raleigh, Robert (Bob) Clifton of Lake Mary, Fla., David and Ronald Clifton, both of Goldsboro and Steve Clifton of Raleigh; one brother, Vernon R. Clifton and wife, Jo of Clinton; and one grandson, Mason Clifton of Colorado Springs, Colo.
He was the widower of his first wife, Patricia Murphy Clifton and his second wife, Jean Thomas Clifton.
