Letha Hill Outlaw, 81, 335 Donald K. Outlaw Road, Seven Springs, passed away Tuesday evening, Dec. 6, at Vidant Duplin Hospital surrounded by her family.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, Dec. 10, at 1 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive. A private graveside will be held at a later date.

Letha was born Dec. 10, 1934, to the late Coy and Estelle Williams Hill.

She was married to the late Donald Keith Outlaw. Together, Donald Keith and Letha ran the family farm for many years.

Known as "Aunt Frog" to her nieces and nephews, she will be remembered for her love of laughter, her fried chicken and delicious meals and her deep love for her family, especially her grandchildren.

Letha is survived by her son, Mickey Outlaw and wife, Shirley, of Seven Springs; her grandchildren, Jonathan Barwick and wife, Paige, of Mount Olive, Alexis Harvell and husband, James, of Seven Springs and Don Outlaw and wife, Shannon, of Bell Arthur; her great-grandchildren, Alice Marie Outlaw and Tabitha and Billy Gallaher; her son-in-law, Roger Pate of Seven Springs; her beloved sister, caregiver and best friend, Violet Saviak and her husband, Mike, of Mount Olive; her brothers, Tommie Hill and wife, Dot, of Wilmington, Bill Hill and friend, Darlene, of Spring Lake and Joseph Hill of Pikeville; her other sisters, Frances Herring of Kinston and Adeline Taylor of Stantonsburg; her sisters-in-law, Joyce Hill of Mount Olive, Mary Lewis of Goldsboro and Elsie Taylor and husband, R.J., of Albertson; her brothers-in-law, Michael Outlaw and wife, Jean, of Fayetteville and Ivey Outlaw and wife, Dolly, of Seven Springs; and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Outlaw Pate; her sisters, Bonnie H. Herring and Marlene H. Boutwell; and her brothers, David, Edward, Roger, Grover, Clayton and Douglas Hill.

The family will receive friends Saturday following the service at the funeral and other times at the home, 335 Donald K. Outlaw Road, Seven Springs.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in her name to Outlaw's Bridge Universalist Church Memorial Fund, c/o Linda Jones, 3999 N.C. 111 N., Albertson, N.C., 28508; Pricetown Volunteer Fire Department, c/o Michael Price, 2005 Zion Church Road, Mount Olive, N.C., 28365; or the charity of one's choice.
