DORA SMITH LANGSTON

Dora Mae Smith Langston, 82, Goldsboro, went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday evening, Nov. 28, 2016, surrounded by her family.

Dora Mae was born in Wayne County Oct. 30, 1934, to the late Polk and Lonnie Smith. She was married to the late Oliver Langston for 49 years.

Dora Mae was retired from O'Berry Center, and was a member of Pentecostal Christian Assembly Church.

The family will receive friends Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.

A service to celebrate Dora's life will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, 2016, in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Sherwood Howell and the Rev. Jackie Hamm officiating. Interment will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

At other times, the family will receive friends at her home.

Dora Mae is survived by her sons, Terry Lynn Langston of Pikeville and Winford E. Langston and wife, Dianne, of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Dana Best, Kelly Ezzell, Danny Langston Jr., Summer Langston and Terry Langston Jr.; and great-grandchildren, Alston Best, Payton Best, Cohen Ezzell and Haley Ezzell.

She is also survived by her sisters, Eloise LeClair and Margie Strickland.

In addition to her husband and parents, Dora Mae was preceded in death by a son, Danny Ray Langston, and her brothers, L.P. Smith, Charles Smith and Joe Smith.
