Jim C. Harper Sr., 83, went to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016, at Hock Family Pavilion in Durham.
Mr. Harper was born in Sampson County July 18, 1933, to the late Jim Harper and Lola Smith Harper.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Flowers Harper; two sons; two daughters; three brothers; three sisters; nine grandchildren; and a host of loving family and friends.
The homegoing celebration will be held Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Mount Gilead Missionary Baptist Church, 2711 Beautancus Road in Mount Olive. Burial will follow at Carver Memorial Cemetery in Mount Olive. Repast will he held at the church.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory, 1500 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro.
The Harper family will receive family and friends prior to the service from 1 to 1:45 p.m. at the church.
He was a member of New Saints Delight Holiness Church in Mount Olive.
