ROGER A. LETCHWORTH

Roger Albert Letchworth, 66, Goldsboro, passed away Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016, at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family and friends.
Roger was born in Pitt County July 22, 1950, to the late Walter Duffy Letchworth and Clyde Elizabeth Brooks Letchworth.
He always had a great love for caring for others, and had retired as a nurse with Wayne Memorial Hospital after 26 years of service.
A service celebrating Roger's life will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016, at First Free Will Baptist Church, 604 E. Ash St., Goldsboro, with the Rev. Gary Bailey officiating. A private interment will be held in Willow Dale Cemetery.
Roger is survived by his special pets, Nell and Sailor; brothers, Steven B. Letchworth of Goldsboro and Adrian Letchworth of England; nephews, Brian and Matthew; and niece, Sara.
He is also survived by his cousins, Peggy Dawson of Goldsboro and Donnie Caroon and husband, Dan, of Raleigh, and special friends, Tammy Houston, Joan Faulkner, Melissa Hamilton and James Holden.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his very special pet, Buddy.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to the Wayne County Humane Society, P.O. Box 821, Goldsboro, N.C., 27533.
