RUBY WALTERS LANGSTON SINGLETON

Ruby Walters Langston Singleton, 88, went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, Sept. 23, 2016, at Wayne UNC Health Care surrounded by her loving family.
Homegoing service will be held Sunday, Sept. 25, 2016, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in LaGrange.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2 to 2:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Singleton was born April 12, 1928, in Wayne County to the late Royce and Gladys Richardson Walters.
She faithfully attended United in Christ Church in Goldsboro.
She is survived by her two sons, Randy Langston and wife, Patricia, of Pikeville and Lynwood Langston Jr. and wife, Sharon, of Goldsboro; two daughters, Lynda Singleton and husband, Linwood, of Fuquay-Varina and Janet Parrish and husband, Harvey Ray, of New Bern; three brothers, Cecil Capps of Mount Airy, Kenneth Capps of Virginia and Gordon Capps of Mohawk, N.C.; four sisters; Pearline Parnell of Virginia, Dollie Capps of Rosewood, Alice Powell of Elizabeth City and Gayle Allen of Virginia; eight grandchildren, Christopher Langston, Jennifer Langston Fontine and husband, Brian, Erik Langston and wife, Leisha, Trent Langston and Lauren Langston, Angela Maready and husband, Philip, Heather Smith and Marilynn Louise Parrish; six great-grandchildren, Hunter, Meah, Jessica, Courtney, Lindsey and Blake; and two great-great-grandchildren, Ellie and Adrian.
She was preceded in death by two children, Marilyn and J.D.; three brothers, Earl Walters, James Walters and Kermit Capps; one sister, Ruth Walters; and a great-granddaughter, Madison.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
