WALTER A. HINSON

Walter Andrew "Toby" Hinson, 83, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016, at Helping Hands Family Care Home surrounded by his family.
Toby was born in Wayne County on April 3, 1931 to the late Chesley Floyd Hinson and Bertha Mae Faircloth Hinson.
He was married for 64 years to Ruth Daughtry Hinson, who preceded him in death on May 14, 2015.
Toby worked for many years as a meat cutter with A&P grocery store and later worked with Hill's Beef and Pork. He enjoyed being a part of the Family Y family as well as being a supporter of the ministry at Shiloh Farms.
Toby loved the Lord and was a dedicated servant his entire life. Toby attended Heart of David Church in Goldsboro. He will be greatly missed, but will always be greatly remembered by his family and friends.
The family will receive friends Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at 2:30 p.m. in Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Kem Lancaster officiating.
Toby is survived by his daughters, Cathy H. Lane and husband, Ray, of Goldsboro and Phyllis H. Taylor and husband, Ken, of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Michael Lane and wife, Kasey, Jessica Keener and Laurin Buffkin, and great-grandchildren, Allie, Karlie and Payton. He is also survived by his sisters, Gladys Worley of Goldsboro, Hazel Jones of Goldsboro and Mildred Talton and husband, Raymond, of Lenoir, and his brothers, John Hinson and wife, Bobbie Jean, of Goldsboro and Lloyd Hinson of Goldsboro.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to the ministry of Shiloh Farm Ministry Inc., 439 Community Drive, Goldsboro, N.C. 27530.
