Linda Gray Williamson Jones, 69, resident of the Rones Chapel community of Mount Olive, passed away Saturday, June 25, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, June 27, at 11 a.m. in Maplewood Cemetery of Mount Olive, and will be officiated by the Rev. Paul Rose.
The family will be receiving friends at the residence, 174 N.C. 403 West, Mount Olive, from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 26.
Linda was the daughter of the late James Edward "Ed" and Edna Gray Herring Williamson.
She was retired from Southern Bank, having been manager of the Dudley branch at the time of retirement.
She was also a longtime Hazel Keller cosmetic dealer, and had been an insurance agent.
She is survived by her husband, Claude "Bill" Jones III of the home; two sons, James Lemuel "Jimmy" Jones and his fianceé, Lori Tillman, both of Calypso and Claude "Pete" Jones IV and his wife, Kelly, of Princeton; five grandchildren, Bryce Jones and wife, Kaitlyn, Summer Gray Jones, Davis Jones, Michaela Smith and Cody Mitchell; a great-granddaughter, Saylor Gray Leggett; and three sisters, Debbie Beasley of Apex, Ellen Moody of Clinton and Ann Neal of Oxford.
In lieu of flowers, it is requested that memorials be made to Kitty Askins Hospice, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534; Cure for the Colors, c/o Southeastern Cancer Center, 203 Cox Blvd., Goldsboro, N.C., 27534; or the charity of one's choosing.
