JIM PACE
March 24, 1935-June 21, 2016
James "Jim" Franklin Pace, 81, Goldsboro, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at his home.
Jim was born in Henderson County March 24, 1935, to the late Grady and Nora Candy Pace.
He was married to the late Lizzie Mae Pace, who preceded him in death Oct. 22, 2015.
Jim proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, and retired in 1974 with the rank of technical sergeant after 20 years of service.
He was a faithful and active member of First Free Will Baptist Church in Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends Saturday, June 25, 2016, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park with full military honors.
Jim is survived by his sons, James E. Pace of Goldsboro, Robert F. Pace and wife, Lisa, of Atoka, Tenn., and Randy L. Pace of Caledonia; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three sisters.
He is also survived by his stepson, Raymond E. Beard Jr. and wife, Donna, and their daughter, Gina Robinson and husband, Jimmy, and their children, Austin and Mason Robinson.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
