EDNA EARLE BRINSON

Edna Earle Edgerton Brinson, 95, Kenansville, died Tuesday, April 19, 2016.
She was the daughter of Earl and Hettie Edgerton of Wallace, N.C.
Edna Earle was preceded in death by her husband, Amos Brinson Sr. of Kenansville.
She had one son, Doc Brinson and his wife, Beth.
She had two grandsons, Russ Brinson and wife, Bracey, and Dan Brinson and wife, Sarah.
Edna Earle had four great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Kenan, Reid and Grant.
She is survived by sister, Dorothy Baker (wife of the late Tommy Baker), and sister-in-law, Lois Edgerton (wife of late brother, Thomas Edgerton).
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 23, 2016, at Kenansville Baptist Church, with visitation to follow in the fellowship hall.
A private burial will be held at Golden Grove Cemetery.
After graduating from her beloved Guilford College, she went on to teach a total of 30 years. She taught at B.F. Grady Elementary and Kenansville Elementary.
Edna Earle was a member of Kenansville Baptist Church, where she held the position of clerk for 50 years. She also sang in the church choir, and served as the leader of the junior choir. She continued to be a dedicated member of the church circle.
Edna Earle willingly contributed her time, talents and cooking expertise to raise money for home and foreign missions.
She was a member of Eastern Star for more than 50 years.
She was a charter member of Beta Eta of Alpha Delta Kappa teacher sorority.
She will be remembered as a strong Christian and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, teacher and friend.
