SARA GINN WALDRIP

Sara Ginn Waldrip, 90, Goldsboro, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Sara was born in Bowman, Ga., Dec. 7, 1925, to the late Pope B. Ginn and Callie Fleming Ginn. She was married to the late Jesse H. Waldrip.
Sara was a retired administrative assistant with the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta, Ga.
She was also very involved in the New Neighbors Club and Retired Federal Employees.
A service celebrating Sara's life will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2016, at Black Chapel at First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Leigh Gillis officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge, Ga.
Sara is survived by her daughter, Sue Blackshear and husband, Dan of Goldsboro; son, Stephen Charles Waldrip of Jefferson, Ga.; grandchildren, David A. Blackshear and wife, Jacquie, of Nashville, N.C., and Lara Blackshear Matthews and husband, Mark, of Lexington, S.C.; and great-grandchildren, Sadie Blackshear, Callie Matthews, Molly Matthews and William Matthews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to First Presbyterian Church, 1101 E. Ash St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27534, or Community Soup Kitchen, P.O. Box 1064, Goldsboro, N.C., 27533-1064.
