Pastor Ronald Lee Hagans Sr., 63, 3407 Central Heights Road, succumbed to the Lord's call from labor to reward Tuesday at Rex Hospital in Raleigh, N.C.
He was born Saturday, Aug. 2, 1952, in Wayne County to Lonnie Russell and Helena Hagans.
His service to God and mankind will be celebrated Saturday at noon at Love Temple, with Bishop Ralph E. Love officiating. His mortal frame will be laid to rest in Wayne Memorial Park North.
His legacy and memory are cherished by his loving wife, first lady Julie Coley Hagans of the home; his children, Tomeka H. Burwell, Rhonda H. King and the Rev. Ronald Lee Hagans Jr., of Goldsboro; his siblings, Ronnie Russell of Fredricksburg, Va., Jamie Y. Tyler, Verneita Hargrode of Goldsboro and Melissa Russell of Virginia; five grandchildren; and a host other loving relatives and dear friends.
The family will receive friends during an inspirational wake Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Greater Guiding Star United Holy Church. The family will receive friends at other times at the residence, where it will assemble in preparation for the funeral cortege.
