Timothy James Wiggins, 56, Pikeville, went to be with his Heavenly Father Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at Kitty Askins surrounded by his family after a very courageous battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 5, 2016, at 3 p.m. at Faith Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will follow with military honors at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Princeton.

Mr. Wiggins was born in Wayne County Nov. 29, 1959, to James and Gloria Wiggins of Pikeville.

He was a member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church, where he served on the bus and teen ministry.

He was retired from the National Guard with 22 years of service.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Wiggins is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann Wiggins; one son, Stephen Wiggins of the home; two daughters, Rebecca Jimenez and husband, Jose, of Angier and Miranda Dotson and husband, Cameron, of Gray, Tenn.; three brothers, Andrew Wiggins and wife, Tammy, of Pikeville, Chris Wiggins and wife, Pam, of Pikeville and Matthew Wiggins and wife, Jenny, of Pikeville; three grandchildren, Logan Hernadez, Benjamin Hernadez and Zachary Hayes; his special pet, Buster; and a host of other relatives, church family and special friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Steven Wiggins.

The family will receive friends Friday evening, March 4, 2016, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Faith Free Will Baptist Church in Goldsboro and other times at the home.

Although flowers are welcome, memorial contributions may be directed to Kitty Askins Hospice Center or Faith Free Will Baptist Church bus ministry.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Kitty Askins Hospice Center for its care and compassion given to the family during the past month.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
