Ms. Patrice Michelle Birden, 33, 502 Samual Road, passed Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016.
She was born Sept. 1, 1982, in Orange County, N.C., to Michael and Nellie Bryant Birden.
She is survived by her parents and two sisters, Constance and Amber Birden both of Durham, N.C.
She was employed by the Goldsboro News-Argus in the mailroom department.
Patrice graduated from Silver Valley High School class of 2000 in Barstow, Calif. She continued her education at East Carolina University, graduating in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in communications.
She was a member of Tau Chapter of Phi Sigma Pi.
Patrice was the maternal granddaughter of the late Kenneth and Ethel Bryant of Goldsboro.
She is also survived by paternal grandmother, Gloria Blakely (Melvin) of Marrero, La.; 10 aunts, Janet Clark (Tracy) of Gretna, La., Dana Birden of Marrero, La., Vera Glass of Mesa, Ariz., Eliza Davis (James) of Lanham, Md., Iris, Ella Veronica, Bernice and Eltralla Bryant of Goldsboro and Winifred Bryant of Winterville, N.C., six uncles, Ivory (Robin) of Marrero, La., Wilford Birden (Angie) of Marrero, Larry of Mesa, Ariz., Joseph (Jesse) of Hampton, Va., and Kenneth Jr. and Stanley Sr. Bryant of Goldsboro; two great-aunts, Martha Allen and Gloria Walker (Barry) of Marrero, La.; and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
The celebration of her life will be held Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Faith United Holy Church, 1603 S. Slocumb St., Goldsboro, N.C. She will be laid to rest at Elmwood Cemetery in Goldsboro, N.C.
There will be a visitation Friday, Jan. 15, 2016, from 5 to 7 p.m. at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, with the family arriving to receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m.
