Jimmy Allen Jr., 48, Dudley, departed this walk of life Sunday, Nov. 22, 2015, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015, at 2 p.m. at New Saints Delight Holy Church, 693 Suttontown Road in Mount Olive, where he was a member.
Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service from 1 to 1:45 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow the funeral service at First Congregational Church Cemetery in Dudley.
Jimmy was a graduate of Southern Wayne High School class of 1987, and was a truck driver.
He is survived by his mother, Geraldine Oliver Allen; two sons, Tristan Bass and Jimmy Allen III of Dudley; one daughter, Jamika Allen of Raleigh; two sisters, Tenisha Sanders and husband, Darren, of Youngsville, N.C., and Kamona Herring and husband, Cedric, of Willow Spring, N.C.; brother, Doral Matthews of Fayetteville; paternal grandfather, Woodrow Grandy Sr. of Mount Olive; and three grandchildren, Messiah, Jhy'Rell and Jamias.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Allen Sr.; paternal grandmother, Mary Allen Grandy; and maternal grandparents, Bill and Madlen Oliver.
The family will receive friends at the home of his mother, Geraldine Allen, 473 Stanley Chapel Church Road in Dudley.
Professional services have been entrusted to Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
