MARTHA SWINSON FIELDS

Martha Swinson Fields, 93, Goldsboro, passed away early Wednesday morning at Ayden Court Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ayden.
She was born in Duplin County May 15, 1922, to the late Erasmus and Bessie Brock Swinson.
Martha was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Goldsboro, N.C.
The family will receive friends Friday, Nov. 20, 2015, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park.
Martha is survived by her son, James Walter Fields and wife, Linda, of Greenville; grandchildren, Brian Russell Fields of Greenville and Susan Elizabeth Hammell and husband, Todd, of Greenville; and four great-grandchildren, Tanner and Drew Fields and Molly and Bryce Hammell.
She is also survived by her niece, Linda DePaula; nephew, Dennis Kopec; special great-niece, Alyssa DePaula; and great-nephew, D.J. DePaula.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ollie Harrell Fields, and sister, Jane Kopec.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to First Presbyterian Church, 1101 E. Ash St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530; Jefferson United Methodist Church, 1100 N. Jefferson Ave., Goldsboro, N.C., 27534; or Meals on Wheels, 601 Royall Ave., Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
