F. Lawton Davis, 86, Middlesex, died Tuesday, July 28, 2015.
Funeral Friday 6 p.m. Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Drive, Wilson, followed by a time of visiting and sharing. Entombment Saturday noon Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, 3888 U.S. 70 West, Princeton.
He retired to Middlesex from Clearwater, Fla., where he had been a supervisor with Risser Oil Corp.
Lawton was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Allen and Richard Davis; sisters, Lois Norman and Hazel Waddell; and brothers, Thurman and Norwood Davis.
He is survived by his wife, Faye Braswell Davis; sons, the Rev. Merrill Davis (Marlyn) of Stantonsburg and Mickey Davis of Pikeville; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; stepson, Barry Barbour (Rae) of Four Oaks; three stepgrandchildren; and sister, Peggy Mooring of
Middlesex.
