NAOMI ANN SMITH

Naomi Ann Smith, 83, passed away Wednesday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Born in Lenoir County, she was the daughter of the late Milton and Betty Rouse Faulkner, wife of the late Clarence Smith and mother of the late Clarence Smith Jr.
A funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow in Pineview Cemetery.
Family members will greet friends Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
She is survived by her son, Riley Neil Smith of the home; three grandchildren, Clarence Smith III and wife, Deborah, of LaGrange, Deborah Lynn Schmidt and husband, Lenny, of Clintonville, Wisc., and Jamie Smith Tutor and husband, Clarence, of Fuquay-Varina; and 11 great-grandchildren.
