HENRY TURNAGE MEWBORN

Mr. Henry Turnage Mewborn, 90, Snow Hill, died Tuesday morning, May 5, 2015.
A native of Greene County, he was born the son of Joshua Eugene Mewborn and Emma Gertrude Turnage.
He was a member of Calvary Memorial United Methodist Church and Radiance Lodge No. 132.
His surviving family includes his daughters, Susan Mewborn Boykin and husband, Robert, of Wilson and Kimberly Mewborn Pope and husband, Judson, of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Dillon Boykin, Abbey Pope and Margaux Pope; sister-in-law, Susan T. Mewborn of Coats; brother-in law, William B. Aycock of Chapel Hill; dear devoted friend, Margaret Deans of Goldsboro; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Mitchell Morris Mewborn.
A graveside service will be held 3 p.m. Thursday, May 7, at Snow Hill Cemetery, with Masonic Rites and the Rev. Martin Armstrong officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the service Thursday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Calvary Memorial United Methodist Church fellowship hall, 109 W. Greene St., Snow Hill, N.C.
The family is especially grateful for the exceptional care provided by Linda Smith.
The family is also indebted to Dr. James Atkins and the staff of Southeastern Medical Oncology Center and the staff of Kitty Askins Hospice Center for their superb assistance and care.
