JIMMY PRESTON EASON

Jimmy Preston Eason, 71, Princeton, passed away Sunday morning, April 12, 2015, at his home.
He was born in Wayne County, N.C., May 30, 1943, to the late Preston Hillary Eason and Arvona Parnell Eason of Wayne County, N.C.
The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at 7 p.m. in Grace Baptist Church chapel, with the Rev. Stuart Coffman, the Rev. Russell Edwards and the Rev. Gene Worley officiating. The burial will take place Thursday, April 16, 2015, at 11 a.m. in Grace Baptist Church Cemetery, 220 N. Barden St., Princeton, N.C., 27569.
Jimmy graduated from Rosewood High School, and went on to work with Progress Energy for 30 years.
Upon his retirement, he founded Power Turbine Services Inc., and was a consultant until illness forced his retirement last year.
Jimmy was also a longtime member of Grace Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Edwards Eason; a son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy Preston Eason II and his wife, Kathleen, of Pikeville; a daughter, Ginger Michelle Eason of Youngsville; two grandsons, Preston Eason and Tyler Eason; and a sister and brother-in-law, Jackie E. Murray and her husband, Bob, of Burgaw; a nephew, Joey Smith of Snow Hill; as well as an uncle, Bernice R. Parnell of Goldsboro.
He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Alma Craddock Edwards of Princeton.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at Grace Baptist Church.
