Michael Lynn West, 59, Dudley, passed away suddenly Saturday, April 11, 2015.
Michael was born in Harnett County Dec. 15, 1955, to the late Robert Oliver West and Thelma Spell West.
He was employed by Flowers Baking Co.
Michael had a deep passion for the outdoors and fishing. He was most happy when out on the water, and nothing was more pleasing than the tug of a bass on the line, no matter the size.
He will be remembered for his deep love of family, especially the apples of his eye, his grandchildren.
A service celebrating Michael's life will be held Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with David Randolph officiating.
The family will receive friends Wednesday following the service and other times at his home.
Michael is survived by his wife of 36 years, Lorilee Camden West; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle Diane West and Tarik McInis; grandchildren, Julius, Mikaleb and Mi'lynn; and his little buddies and k-9 friends, Pocho and Bella.
He is also survived by his sisters, Elizabeth Jackson and Carolyn McCloud; brother, Bobby West; goddaughter, Amanda Howell; godson, David Randolph; mother-in-law, Diane G. Camden; brothers-in-law, Richard Camden, John Camden, Lloyd Camden and Lewis Camden; sisters-in-law, Dawn Camden and Debbie Raynor; a special niece, Jamie Raynor; as well as several other nieces and nephew he loved very much.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael Christopher West, and brother, Jimmy West.
