CAROL F. CREECH
April 6, 1938-Feb. 13, 2015
On Friday evening, Feb. 13, 2015, Carol Faircloth Creech, 76, of Snow Hill, moved to her Heavenly home while surrounded by her family at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Carol was a godly woman who loved the Lord and her family and set an example for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren that will lead them all their lives.
Carol was born in Wayne County on April 6, 1938, to the late Carl Clifton Faircloth and Ava Elizabeth Smith Faircloth. She had a sparkle in her eye and a heartwarming, generous spirit, always making everyone feel at home. Her faith, strength and courage during challenging times inspired all who knew her. Carol will be remembered for her love of family and friends, bluegrass music, antique shopping, camping and keeping her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her most significant role in life and what she did best was being a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Carol raised her children on the farm that she dearly loved.
She was a lifelong member of Woods Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, where she had been active in the ladies auxiliary. Carol loved life and the life she had with her family. God has blessed her with all His love. She will live forever in all of our hearts. We will see her one day in Heaven, she is at rest now, in the arms of God. He was her strength and ours, too.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015, at 6 p.m. in Woods Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. Barry Teague and the Rev. DeWayne Eakes officiating.
Interment will be Monday, Feb. 16, 2015, at 11 a.m. in the Mewborn Family Cemetery located on Mewborn Cemetery Road.
Carol is survived by her husband of 57 years, Nelson Creech; son, Cliff Creech and wife, Joyce, of Snow Hill; son, Jerry Creech and wife, Rhonda, of Snow Hill; granddaughter, Kris Sugg and husband, Jason, of Snow Hill; grandson, Michael Creech and wife, Samantha, of Bakersfield, Calif.; grandson, Daniel Creech and wife, Lauren, of Snow Hill; granddaughter, Casey Vandiford and husband, Matthew, of Snow Hill; great-grandchildren, Michael, Dayva, Evan, Logun, Luke, Heath and James; and sisters, Annette Pelletier of Snow Hill and Daphine Price and husband, Dennis, of Goldsboro.

The family would like to express its special thanks to the staff at Kitty Askins Hospice Center for the love and care shown to Carol during her declining health. May God bless each of you.
In lieu of flowers, Carol requests memorials be made to Woods Grove Church or the Shine Volunteer Fire Department.
The family will receive friends Sunday following the service in the church fellowship hall, and other times at the family home, 333 Creech Road, Snow Hill.
