RUTH PADGETT HOLMES

KENANSVILLE -- Ruth Padgett Holmes, 82, passed away Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015 at Vidant Duplin Hospital. Mrs. Holmes was born Jan. 4, 1933 in Duplin County, to Jesse Padgett and Adell Carter Padgett.
Mrs. Holmes is survived by a son, David Padgett and wife, Betty of Beulaville; daughter, Debbie H. Hunter and husband, Stacey of Chinquapin; brother, Melvin Padgett and wife, Clara of Kinston; two grandchildren, Candice Jarman and husband, Cody and Lee Rouse and wife, Heather and one great-grandchild, Ashton Jarman.
Mrs. Holmes was preceded in death by husband, Preston Mayo Holmes, brothers, James Padgett and Tom Padgett.
A funeral service will be held today at 3 p.m. at Community Funeral Home of Warsaw with visitation following the service. A committal service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in Golden Grove Cemetery in Kenansville.
