Ross Allan Hendrix, 82, of Carolina Beach, died Monday at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
A private service was held Thursday at Wayne Memorial Park.
His is survived by his wife, Jane Sasser Hendrix.
He was a native of Asheville and was preceded in death by his parents, Lois Hayes and John William Hendrix.
Arrangements were with Evergreen Funeral Home.
