Linda Peele Fields, 68, Goldsboro, passed away Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Linda was born in Wayne County Jan. 13, 1946, to Marie Potter Peele of Goldsboro and the late Durwood Jackson Peele.
She had worked as a manager of Handy Mart on U.S. 13 North for many years.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 16, 2015, at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a service in the chapel at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Barry Teague officiating. Interment will follow in Peele Family Cemetery.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her sons, Ricky Earl Fields and wife, Dianne, of Goldsboro and Stanley Patrick Fields of Goldsboro; daughter, Tonya Jan De Rosa and husband, Morris, of Simpsonville, S.C.; sister, Joan Peele Tyndall and husband, Tim, of Snow Hill; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Durwood Lee Peele.
