She, then, will be laid to rest in Martin-Price Cemetery alongside her beloved husband, Louis Outlaw Parker, and near her late parents, William Preston Martin and Lily Price Martin, and two sisters, Edna Martin Scarborough and Margaret Martin.

Family and friends are also being received at the residence.

Flowers are welcome, or memorial gifts may be made to the Margaret Martin Scholarship Fund, c/o First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 239, Mount Olive, N.C., 28365.

She is survived by a loving and supportive family, which includes her son and daughter-in-law, William Preston Parker and Jennifer Parker, of Mount Olive; her daughter and son-in-law, Margaret Ann Parker Parvin and J. DeWayne Parvin, of Mount Olive; five grandchildren, Wesley Preston Parker and wife, Michele, of Goldsboro, Natalie Ruth Parvin Griffith and husband, Benjamin, of Mount Pleasant, S.C., Kelly Parker Campbell and husband, Chase, of Charlotte, Ashley Parvin Daniels and husband, Donnie, of Winterville, and Bridget Parvin Soistman and husband, Ben, of Middletown, Del.; eight great-grandchildren, Sara Beth Daniels, Martin Jackson, Caroline Griffith, Will Parker, Charlotte Daniels, Laura Catherine Griffith, Sebastian Daniels and Luke Soistman; a sister-in-law, Melba C. Mrs. Parker was a life member of First Baptist Church where she served diligently and tirelessly.

She had been a primary Sunday school teacher for a 40-year span, had been the vacation Bible school director for a long tenure, and had been coach of the church's Bible drill team for 20 years or more.

She had served on the Diaconate Board for numerous terms and had been chairperson of the board of trustees.

She was valedictorian of her Mount Olive High School graduating class and was a graduate of Meredith College, where she was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa.

She, too, will be remembered for having been a third grade school teacher with 30 years of loyal service with the Wayne County Schools.

She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and had served as its president, and was a 30-year member of the Tuesday Night Ladies Bridge Club in Mount Olive.

Having been born in the same house in which she made her home, she was proud of her heritage and very fond of the fact that her father's business, W. P. Martin Store in Mount Olive, begun in 1910, is still in operation today by members of her immediate family.

A Tyndall Service.
