NORMA SHILLINGLAW JOHNSON

Norma Shillinglaw Johnson, 83, Goldsboro, passed away, Dec. 21, 2014, at Willow Creek Nursing Home and Rehab surrounded by her family.
Norma was born in Perth, Scotland on Feb. 24, 1931, to the late Alex and Sadie Riche Shillinglaw.
She was retired from the Army and Air Force Exchange Service at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.
She was a longtime member of Adamsville Baptist Church.
She was devoted to her church and was involved in many activities where she utilized her gifts and abilities to share the love of God.
Norma was a beautiful person whose loving spirit and ever-present smile radiated the joy she experienced in living every day of her life.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014, starting at 1 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service celebrating Norma's life at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with her pastor, David Karn officiating.
Internment will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
Norma is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Billy Jake Johnson; daughter, Michelle J. Sell and husband, Michael, of Fuquay-Varina; brother, Barrie Shillinglaw and wife, Maria, of England; niece, Nadine Shillinglaw; and great-niece, Olivia Shillinglaw.
Although flowers are welcome the family suggests memorials be given to Adamsville Baptist Church, 1302 N. Berkley Blvd., Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
