Betty Jean Daughtry, 81, died Saturday night at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late James Aron Wise and Agnes Herring Wise and the wife of the late Jesse Ray Daughtry.
She was the second born of triplets, including Billy Ray Wise and Bobbie Gray Adamson.
A service to celebrate her life will be held by the graveside Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park with the Rev. Wayne Nelson officiating.
Family members will greet friends Monday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and at other times at the home of her daughter, Wanda Whaley.
She is survived by her daughters, Wanda D. Whaley and husband, Ronnie, and Gail D. Correll; her son, William Kirk Daughtry and wife, Marlene; her brother, Billy Ray Wise; sister, Bobbie Gray Adamson; grandchildren, Mandy B. Hancock, J. Wayne Bryant Jr., William K. Daughtry Jr., M. Brandon Daughtry, Jesse R. Daughtry II, S. Eric Daughtry, R. Allen Correll and D. Neil Correll; great-grandchildren, Allainah Hancock, Haylah Bryant, Natalie Daughtry, Landon Daughtry, Emily Daughtry, Allie Daughtry, Jaimie Daughtry, Jesse Ray Daughtry III, Elyzabeth Daughtry and Andrew Correll.
