James Perry Potter, 71, died Wednesday at home.
Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Robert Franklin and Nannie Wiggs Potter.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Brogden Chapel Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
James is survived by a son, Daniel Potter; a brother, John Potter; a sister, Ann Cook; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Potter.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, Okla., 73123-1718.
