RALPH J. BRITT

Mr. Ralph Junior Britt, 94, longtime resident of the Mount Olive area in the Manley's Grove section, passed away Thursday afternoon, July 24, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center as his loving and devoted family was close at hand.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 26, at Eureka Christian Church at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Frank Purvis and the Rev. Debora Stilley officiating, and with burial immediately following at Wayne Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and at other times, at the residence.
Mr. Britt, a veteran of the United States Army and a retired employee of General Electric, is survived by his wife of 71 years, Dora Joyner Britt; a daughter, Betty Francis Britt and husband, Joel, of Mount Olive; two sons, Michael E. Britt Sr. and wife, Jheys, of Carolina Beach and Ralph Glenn Britt and wife, Debra, of Mount Olive; a sister, Florence B. Germano and husband, Frank, of Mount Olive; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Eugene Britt Jr.; his parents, Moscoe and Francis Sutton Britt; two brothers, Wendell "Doc" Britt and T. K. Britt; and two sisters, Vera Denning and Katie Warren.
