Muriel Jones David, 80, Goldsboro, passed away Monday, June 2, 2014, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Muriel was born in Jackson County Feb. 3, 1934, to the late Aus and Berenice Parris Jones.
She was married to the late James I. "Dave" David, who preceded her in death Feb. 10, 2000.
Muriel retired from sales at Wal-Mart.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where she used her gifts and abilities to share the love of God.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, June 8, 2014, at 2 p.m. in Wayne Memorial Park, with the Rev. Ryan Rasmussen officiating.
The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
Muriel is survived by her daughters, Vicki Lynn David and Davina David Anderson and husband, James Allen Anderson, and her grandchildren, Mitchell Blake Roberts, Hannah Noelle Anderson, Savanna Rae Anderson and Samuel James Amade Anderson.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to First Presbyterian Church, 1100 E. Ash St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
