Harvey Ray Smith Sr., 607 Connor St., died Wednesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Funeral will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Winn Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jerry Armstrong officiating. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Archie Smith Sr. and Maybell Wynn Smith, and husband of Alice Jones Smith.
Six children survive.
Visitation will be Saturday from 3 to 6 p.m. at Garris Funeral Home chapel.
