WOODROW CARTER

Jan. 12, 1926-April 4, 2014

Woodrow Carter, 88, of Goldsboro passed away Friday morning at his residence. He was the son of the late Speight and Mabelle Brogden Carter, and was the husband of Margaret Jackson Carter. Mr. Carter was a retired supervisor for Calypso Plywood Company.

A funeral service will be held Monday at 7 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with Pastor Rudy Butner and Jamin Carter officiating. Interment will be at Wayne Memorial Park Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home Monday evening.

In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter, Judy Hales; sons, Dwight Carter, Brian Carter and wife, Betty, Woody Carter, Ken Sullivan and wife, Rhonda; grandchildren, Breyl Brinkley, Suzanne Daniels and husband, Joe, Tara Carter, Cortni Peterson and husband, James, Lindsay Carter, Crissy Brown and husband, Charlie, Justin Carter, Jamin Carter and wife, April, Jorge Maia, Jeremeny Maia and wife, Barbara; great grandchildren, Layla Brinkley, Alyssa Brinkley, Bailey Brown, Holland Brown, Sage Taylor, Autumn Carter, Summer Carter, Patience Carter, Mercy Carter, Zoey Maia, Gavin Taylor, Jonah Daniels, Nate Daniels, Cody Peterson, Matthew Peterson, Jacob Peterson, Noah Brown; a sister, Nannie Grady; and special friends, Beverly Carter and Vicki Greene.
