BRIAN J. KEITH

Brian Jonas Keith, 48, died peacefully Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Fayetteville, N.C., he was the son of the late Lt. Col. Lewis Charles Keith Sr. and Goldie Marie Kennedy of Goldsboro.
Brian was an interpreter, and was formerly the director of security for the Mexican Embassy in Mexico City, the Los Angeles Arts Museum and also was a Spanish teacher at Wayne Country Day School.
He graduated from the Virginia Military Institute, and was a local fishing legend.
A service to celebrate Brian's life will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home chapel, with Mr. Horace Modlin officiating.
In addition to his mother, Brian is survived by his wife, Romelia Serrano De Keith; a son, Erik Jonas Keith; his brother, Lewis C. Keith Jr.; and his sister, Priscilla Keith.
The family requests memorial gifts, in lieu of flowers, be made to the Wayne County Humane Society, 104 S Center St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
