HENRY 'JACK' FAULKNER

CLINTON -- Henry Clarence "Jack" Faulkner Jr., 88, of 208 Kimbrough Road died in Mary Gran Nursing Center on Wednesday.

Memorial services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Allard officiating. A private burial will be held at a later time.

Born in 1925 in Franklin County, Mr. Faulkner was the son of Henry Clarence and Susan Faulkner. He was a member of First Baptist Church, having served as a deacon and a greeter for many years, a retired insurance adjuster and member of the Clinton Lions Club, where he served as past president. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in WW II in the Pacific theater with the rank of sergeant.

He is survived by a sister, Ernestine Brewer and husband, Bobby of Goldsboro; a brother, Herbert Arthur Faulkner and wife, Jean of Clinton; a sister-in-law, O'Retha Faulkner of Troutville, Va.; an aunt, Edith Faulkner Lee and husband, Erwin of Clinton and caregiver, Kim Matthews; one grandchild, Lauren Nicole Faulkner Reed and husband, Henry of Florence, S.C.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine R. Faulkner; two sons, Victor Leslie Faulkner and Jack Vernon Faulkner, and one brother, James Alvin Faulkner.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church and other times at his home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 408 College St., Clinton, N.C. 28328
