HESTER P. CREECH

Mrs. Hester Pelt Creech, 89, Snow Hill, died Friday, March 7, 2014.
Mrs. Creech was born in Wayne County Jan. 16, 1925, the daughter of Robert M. and Mattie Essie Garris Pelt.
Mrs. Creech resided in Greene County most of her life, and was an active member of Free Gospel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, March 10, at Mewborn Family Cemetery, with the Rev. Danny Hamm officiating.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Creech was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Creech; son-in-law, Patrick Dennis "Pat" Casey; and a great-granddaughter, Erin Casey Crowell.
Her surviving family includes her daughters, Linda Faye Creech Casey and Mary Jo Creech both of Snow Hill; granddaughters, Denise Casey Crowell and husband, Bill, of Cary and Pam Casey Rouse and husband, John, of Kinston; great-grandchildren, Will Rouse and Patrick Crowell; a sister, Irene Aycock of Goldsboro; and a brother, D.J. Pelt of Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 4 to 6 p.m. at Free Gospel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, and other times at the residence, 941 Creech Road, Snow Hill.
