MOUNT OLIVE -- Portia Heath Merritt, 49, local interior designer and decorator, died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kara Holmes and Jay Hudson of Greenville; her parents, Bill and Portia Heath of Dudley; four grandchildren, Kemp Hudson, Lyla Bleu Hudson, Maddox Hudson and Bellamy Hudson all of Greenville; and three brothers, Billy Heath of Arizona and Rick Heath and Brian Heath both of Raleigh.
Her family will hold an informal gathering to remember her at a time of its choosing.
