Alma Sauls Lancaster, 80, went to her heavenly home Sunday morning, Jan. 12, 2014, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by her loving family.
Alma was born Sept. 15, 1933, to the late Arthur and Ruby Blow Sauls. She was married to the late James Curtis Lancaster Sr.
Alma was a loyal and active member of First Baptist Church in Pikeville.
She was a retired seamstress, and enjoyed socializing with her friends at Hardee's in Pikeville.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Art Gurley and the Rev. Jimmy Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont.
Alma is survived by a son, James Curtis Lancaster Jr. and wife, Billie; grandchildren, Wesley Holland and fianceé, Heather Bragg, Keith Lancaster and fianceé, Sheri Jones and Jamie Lancaster and wife, Natalia; and great-grandchildren, Erin, Eric and Justin Holland, Michael Lancaster and Matthew and Sarah Jones.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sons, Larry, Gary and Robin Lancaster.
The family will receive friends Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, and at other times, at the home of James and Billie Lancaster, 345 Big Daddy's Road, Pikeville.
The Lancaster family would like to give a very special thank you to the wonderful staff at Kitty Askins Hospice Center for the love and care it provided for Alma during her sickness. Simple words cannot express our gratitude.
