PRINCETON -- Lillie Ruth Jones Best, 87, Rains Mill Road, Princeton, died Thursday at Smithfield Manor.
Daughter of the late James Albert and Zilphia Mae Lane Jones, she was born Oct. 11, 1926.
She was preceded in death by her husband James "Dick" Best Jr.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, at Crossroads Primitive Baptist Meeting House at 788 Edwards Road, Princeton, with elder Bobby Daughtry officiating. Burial will follow the service in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Best is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Dickey Blizzard and her husband, Jimmy, of Goldsboro and Kathryn Wells and her husband, Edward, of Princeton; one granddaughter, Jamey Blizzard Howey and husband, Jody, of Pikeville; and one great-granddaughter, Madelyn Lane Howey.
The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at Casey Funeral Home chapel in Princeton.
