HATTIE LOU FUTRELLE

Hattie Lou Elmore Futrelle, 108 Country Day Road, died Monday with her family by her side.

Funeral will be Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Stoney Creek Free Will Baptist Church, 752 Stoney Creek Church Road.

The family will receive friends following the service.

Committal service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the church cemetery.

Surviving are her daughters, Bonnie F. Mozingo (Gordon) of Goldsboro and Alice F. Murphy (Randy) and Joan F. King (Al) both of Pikeville; grandchildren, Dawn M. Gardner (Stewart) and Christopher G. Mozingo both of Goldsboro, Heather M. Odom (Alvin) and Chase H. King, Chandler N. King all of Pikeville and Jessica M. McDermott (Gregory) of Fayetteville; great-grandchildren, Anna-Gordon Gardner, Kennedy R. Odom, Savannah B. Odom, Katelynn M. McDermott and Joseph A. McDermott; sister, Mollie E. Tart (Selva) of Goldsboro; and a brother, Pat Elmore (Louise) of Chatsworth, Ga.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, the Rev. Foy C. Futrelle; her parents, Julia Kennedy Elmore and James Franklin Elmore; and brothers, Woodrow Elmore and Blake Elmore.

Hattie Lou worked simultaneously with her late husband, ministering to the needs of the churches, and supported the communities where they served. She accompanied her husband on every hospital and parishioner visit.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved and cared for many during her time here on this earth.
