RHONDA ANN DAVIS

Sept. 10, 1964-Oct. 15, 2013

LAGRANGE -- Rhonda Ann Davis, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, passed peacefully Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, into that far better life with her Lord and savior and with those beloved family who went on before.

Her courage during this fight was typical of her strength of character, reflecting her loyalty and dedication to, and deep love for, her family and her zest and love of life.

Rhonda was born in Wayne County Sept. 10, 1964, to Shelton and Ann Barrow Davis of Goldsboro, and was a poultry farmer in the Coker's Mill community.

She was a member of Free Gospel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.

The life Rhonda lived, one of joy and Christian love, could not be diminished by the sickness that she endured. Her laughter, kidding ways and love for Christmas will be remembered by everyone who knew her.

A celebration of Rhonda's life will be held with a reception in Free Gospel Family Life Center, 145 Free Gospel Road in Snow Hill (Shines Crossroads) Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, from 5 to 8 p.m. Interment will be Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, at 3:30 p.m. in Hill Family Cemetery on East Hill Street in LaGrange.

At other times, the family will be at her home, 1727 Hood Swamp Road in LaGrange.

In addition to her parents, Rhonda is survived by her sisters, Michelle Cooke of Goldsboro and Maria Tyndall of LaGrange; brother, McClain Davis of LaGrange; four nephews; and a niece.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Rhonda's memory to Cures for the Colors, c/o SMOC, 203 Cox Blvd., Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.

Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.seymourfuneralhome.com.
