LINDA WIGGINS PEACOCK

Linda Wiggins Peacock, 75, passed away peacefully Monday, Sept. 2, 2013, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center due to complications of Parkinson's disease.
Linda was born in Wayne County to the late Noel Marsden Wiggins and Charlotte O'Berry Wiggins of Dudley.
Linda attended Brogden grade school, and graduated from Goldsboro High School.
She married her high school sweetheart and moved to Raleigh, where she attended Kings Business College and Wake Technical Community College.
After returning to Goldsboro, Linda became a member of Salem United Methodist Church.
She was also a licensed amateur radio operator.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, at Willow Dale Cemetery, with the Rev. Sandy Schaller officiating.
Linda is survived by her husband of 58 years, George Seymour Peacock; daughter, Amy Peacock Samosky and husband, Paul, of Asheville; sons, George Kelvin Peacock and wife, Sue, of Goldsboro and James Lynn Peacock of Raleigh; and her grandchildren, Allison Peacock, Molly Peacock, Lisa Peacock and Davis Peacock.
She is also survived by her sisters, Charlotte Gresham and husband, Homer, and Faye Hislop and husband, Dave, of Durham, and her brother, Rodney B. Wiggins of Mount Olive.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Nora Rae Perry, and her brother, William Wiggins.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
