CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. -- James Daniel Best, 67, died Aug. 21, 2013.
He was the loving son of Isabell Best of Pikeville, and devoted father of Belinda Best VanBuren and Cynthia Whitlow.
He is also survived by two sisters, Mary Best Barfield of Maryland and Hattie Atkinson of Goldsboro; a brother, Robert Best of Pikeville; two aunts, Hazel Best of Pikeville and Mae Rachel Wigfall of Fremont; an uncle, Arthur Lee Best; five grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Saturday at St. James Baptist Church, 402 Abel Ave., Capitol Heights, Md., 20743, from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral service at noon.
Interment will be Tuesday, Sept. 3, at 1 p.m. at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, Md.
