Mrs. Sue Parrish Farmer, 79, passed away Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013.
A graveside service will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. in the mausoleum at Pinewood Memorial Park.
Sue, a native of Nash County, had been a resident of Greenville for 42 years and a resident of Goldsboro for the past six months.
She was a beautician and owned Sue's Set and Style.
She was an avid contributor to the Ronald McDonald Houses and Mewborn nurseries of Pitt and Lenoir counties.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allison "Monk" Farmer in 2011, who operated Greenville Upholstery, and sisters, Estelle Proctor and Selma Grimes.
She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Farmer Moore and husband, Craig, of Goldsboro; son, Paul A. Farmer and wife, Phyllis, of Winterville; grandchildren, Brandee McLawhorn and fiancé, Jason Hardy, Landon Moore and Jake Farmer; great-grandchildren, Will Rapp and Asher Andrews; sister, Glennie Proctor; brother, Chester Parrish; and sister in-law, Edna Winstead of Elm City.
The family received friends Saturday 6 to 8 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
