NELLIE ROSE TEACHEY

Nellie Rose Teachey, 88, passed away Monday, April 29, 2013, at the home of her daughter in Clinton.

Nell was born in Wayne County Jan. 27, 1925, to the late Chester and Effie Britt Rose. She was married to the late Leonard Teachey.

Nell retired as a surgical nurse with Wayne Memorial Hospital.

She was a member of Stoney Creek Free Will Baptist Church.

A service celebrating Nell's life will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Stoney Creek Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. Gary Bailey and the Rev. Barry Williamson officiating. Interment will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 3, 2013, at Wayne Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Thursday following the service at the church and other times at her home.

Nell is survived by her daughters, Jackie T. Brown and husband, John, and Vivian T. South and husband, David; son, Perry Teachey and wife, Lisa; brother, Myarl Rose and wife, Sally; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Esther Mae R. Grantham and Estelle R. Sloan.
