LAGRANGE -- Daniel Cornelius Newton, 49, of 204 Pioneer Drive, died Tuesday night at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The celebration of his life will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 2506 New Hope Road, LaGrange, with the Rev. Joseph A. Headen Jr. officiating. He will be laid to rest in Wayne Memorial Park in Dudley. Visitation is today in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations from 2 until 8 p.m. with the family present from 7 until 8 p.m.
Daniel was born on Dec. 31, 1963, in Johnston County.
He is survived by his wife, Katiya L. Newton of the home and has four children.
Arrangements are being handled by J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations.
